Victoria Square Accessibility Policy
This is the official Accessibility Policy for Victoria Square and the Orangery Restaurant.
It is our policy to make our site as accessible as possible, not just for our physically challenged users, but to make this site accessible via mobile phones, tablet and hand held computers, all different kinds of internet browsers, and readable from whatever country you are in. This policy was created with assistance and advice from WordPress’s Accessibility Statement.

Overall site design and build
We have built the site in WordPress, as it works right out of the box to help to keep our site as accessible as possible.
Describing images and links
Where possible, we have described graphics or photographs in the alt part of the image tag. Where the image is purely decorative and a text description would only confuse the reader, we have left alt attribute empty. Where images have not been able to load, we have completed alt descriptions to allow people to know what is on screen, if appropriate.
Creating readable pages
We have ensured there are no crowded areas of text, busy looks, or jumbles of font sizes. All fonts are large enough to be readable at most screen resolutions. We have positioned navigational elements in logical places, so people can naturally move around our site.
Browser and screen resolution compatibility
We understand that not all browsers display all websites the same. We have run our websites code through a series of validation tests to check the XHTML and CSS thoroughly to make sure there were no errors. We have also test driven the site through a series of different browsers and made adjustments where relevant. We have also where possible, tested different browsers on a variety of different operating systems. We also appreciate that our site could be affected by different screen resolutions and colour quality, so we have test driven the site through a variety of different scenarios.
Mobile, tablet and hand held computers
We have not built a separate mobile style sheet, as the site is still fully functional with the original design (albeit compressed).
