Getting About:

Stirling’s central location and excellent transport links means that getting about to visit much of central Scotland and beyond is easy. Edinburgh and Glasgow are both reachable within an hour by road or rail.

Car

There are good motorway links to the west, east and north of Stirling. The M9 motorway is only 2 miles to the west, giving quick access to Edinburgh and Glasgow via the M80. Both Edinburgh Airport (30 miles) and Glasgow Airport (36 miles) are within easy reach. See our contact page for details of how to get to the house or Directions on Google Maps. (Please note that there is limited free parking on site at the house available on a first come first served basis; there is ample on street parking around).

Public Transport

Stirling benefits from very good public transport links. The House is only 10 minutes walk from both the railway station and the bus station. Traveline Scotland is a good source of advice.

Electric Car Charging

There are a number of electric car charging points in Stirling. We would recommend using Zap Map or Charge Place Scotland to find available local charging points.

Taxis

There are a number of local taxi firms; it usually possible to find a taxis on arrival at either the bus or railway station. Please ask at reception should you wish reserve a taxis during your stay.
